Lido Key is the closest beach to the Ritz Carlton. It's a beautiful beach and easily accessible to dining and shopping options at St. Armand's Circle
Siesta Beach in Sarasota has been voted the best beach in the U.S., and the 4th best beach in the world, for its powdery quartz sand and clear blue water. It's a bit further away, ~15 minute drive from the hotel.
